transport books to and from the library in plastic
bags, to protect them from rough treatment or spills in backpacks. Thank you!
If
a volunteer is not available to check out a book, students in
Grades 5-8 are able to complete a "sign-out-later information card.? A
volunteer will check out the book later for the student.
The
Young Adult (YA) Fiction section of the LCES Library is for
Grade 7 and 8 students only due to the mature content or theme of some of the
novels in this section.
Books
are signed out for two weeks at a time and a date-due card
placed in the book?s pocket.
Classroom-specific
procedures
JK
visits the library once a week for story time. After Christmas, students are
able to sign one book out per visit. This book needs to be returned before a
new book can be signed.
SK
- Grade 1 visit the library once a week for story time. Students are
able to sign out one book per week. This book needs to be returned before a new

Grades
2-4 visit the library once a week as a class. Students are able
to sign out only two books at any one time.
Grades
5-8 visit the library once weekly as a class, and individually
as needed. Students may sign out two books for personal use, and as many books
as needed for projects, reports or book reports, depending on demand
