Bright Futures Campaign

A message from the Campaign Chair:

Do you remember the last time you took a moment to evaluate the importance of the Christ-centered education provided at London Christian Elementary School? If you currently have children attending LCES, my guess is that you think of it often. As your children walk out the door to catch the bus or when you drop them off in the parking lot every morning, the blessing is
a real tangible thing. However, if you are like me and your children are no longer involved in the day-to-day activities at LCES, our minds quickly move on to other things.
Have you ever considered how the blessing of a Christ-centered education impacts your family long after you, your children, your grandchildren, or friends have graduated from the school? I firmly believe that my family will reap the benefits of our time at LCES for the rest of our lives. I am so thankful to know that my children had the opportunity to experience their education in an environment where God is acknowledged as Creator and Lord of all things. This will influence them for the rest
of their lives. In a society whose values seem to be shifting quickly away from Biblical principles, I wouldn’t trade this opportunity for the world. What if the generations before us had not had the courage and faith to follow God’s leading and establish a Christian school in London? We are inspired by their commitment and vision as we continue to see it bear fruit today. Many of the founders and supporters of LCES over the last fifty years have continued to support the school to this day and for that we are deeply grateful. The strength of our school will continue to come through God’s help and the lasting commitment of the larger community. The goal of the LCES Bright Futures Campaign is to ensure that the families of the future will continue to have a strong Christian school whose values are based on the unchanging Word of God. We will do this by helping to eliminate the debt and investing resources that will benefit the families of LCES for generations to come. Your prayer support and financial commitment will help make this a reality. So will you join me in celebrating the strong roots of LCES, help to maintain the clear vision and commit to ensuring a bright future for the families who will follow?
In His service,
Pete Hamstra, Campaign Chair

A message from the Board Chair and Principal:

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom” Psalm 111:10

So says the original keystone, now inside our remarkable facility as a result of growth and expansion. The prominent place it holds points back to the clear intent of a visionary group of people who believed in the life-long value of Christian education. imagine the excitement, faith and sacrifices made by those early founders! Their gift of bold steps motivated by faith propelled our school on an amazing path. Years of living and learning by faith for thousands of students has followed. Praise the Lord!

Sustaining an excellent Christian school means attending to the needs of the school today and of the future. Late in 2014 the school leadership, looking to the future, identified some areas of need. We wanted to eliminate debt, plan for some improvements, and make deliberate efforts to allow us to offer financial help to a greater number of new families wanting Christian education. This was the start of the Bright Futures Campaign, a fund raising initiative to help us meet the needs of tomorrow and ensure our school remains vibrant for years to come.

We would like to invite you to partner with us financially and in prayer as we face the future with the same excitement and faith as our founding families.

In Christ,
Andy Bethel, Board Chair
